Exterior LED lighting retrofit

We recently did an upgrade of exterior metal halide wall packs (250 watt) to 75 watt LED floods at a commercial building in Meridian Idaho.

With the LED flood lights we were able to better aim the direction of the light to where we wanted it. The old wallpack lights put out a lot of light, but not necessarily where we were wanting the light to go.

The metal halide lights last approximately 12,000 hours and consumed (with ballast) 295 watts. The LED flood lights use 75 watts total and will last 60,000 hours.

These LED flood lights qualified for the Idaho Power Easy Upgrades program incentive dollars. Idaho Power paid incentive of 12 cents per KWH saved on this project, over $100 per fixture. Bright Ideas Lighting processed all of the Idaho Power lighting forms and paperwork for the customer.
